In time for National Hispanic Heritage Month, the National Association of Realtors has launched ‘NAR en Español,’ a Spanish language subsite to the association’s main webpage. According to NAR, its Spanish-speaking membership continues to grow at a historic pace.
Since 2018, the NAR en Español initiative has helped Spanish-speaking Realtors leverage networking and additional sources, the association said.
This includes its ‘Right Tools, Right Now’ program, which focuses on making sure Spanish-speaking Realtors and bilateral partners from across the globe are aware of and have access to the resources NAR provided its members in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. NAR’s manager of global alliances and business development, Alejandro Escudero, said that the resources made available in Spanish will increase NAR brand recognition and support from Realtors and consumers across the globe.
“…by ensuring many of the great resources NAR produces for its members are also available in Spanish, the NAR en Español platform will help us to continue engaging and educating our Spanish-speaking stakeholders,” Escudero said.
Last summer, NAR en Español hosted over 300 students from 15 countries for two virtual, accredited buyer representative and seller representative specialist courses, which were held in Spanish.
“These courses are not only critical toward understanding the latest trends and changes within our industry, but also a fantastic way to build relationships and grow our Realtor networks,” NAR Vice President of Association Affairs Mabél Guzmán said. “In addition, much of this content will help provide a positive real estate experience for Hispanic buyers and sellers, a rapidly growing segment of our industry.”
Katie Johnson, general counsel and chief member experience officer at NAR, said that the development of NAR en Español has been transformative for not only the association but the industry as well.
“Evolving from a simple NAR en Español Facebook page into the comprehensive collection of resources we offer to our members today, I’m so proud to see this association enhance the support we provide to this important and ever-growing segment of real estate professionals,” Johnson said.
